HOW DOES A VILLAGE-OWNED ENTERPRISE (VOE) SUPPORT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT?

Village Owned Enterprises (VOE) are village businesses managed by the community and government to strengthen economy formed based on needs potential. This study analyzes formation of VOE in Kweel Village, Elikobel District, Merauke Regency. research was conducted with a qualitative approach. The data collection carried out through in-depth interviews informants. procedure several stages, namely 1) Identification Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities Threats; 2) IFE – EFE matrix analysis; 3) IE 4) SWOT 5) SPACE analysis. type is first be method enables identify things that support hinder business, analyze best strategies can applied at this time, design for future development. results showed (1) reaches 3.148; (2) 2,964; (3) indicates growth build stage. In conclusion, should use competitive strategy its also recommends understand how manage VOE, committed development mission, increase local participation, expand networks governments universities.
